PURPOSE:To prevent a synchronous generator from vibrating at the operating time by providing an additional unit made of an iron or magnetic material for a wedge in a rotor slot. CONSTITUTION:A field coil 16 is contained in an insulated state in a rotor slot 10, and a wedge 12 is disposed in the hole of the slot 10. An additional part 22 which is made of an iron or magnetic material is insulated and disposed through an insulating liner 20 between the wedge 12 and the coil 16. In this manner, since orthogonal axis transient reactance increases, the vibration of a synchronous generator at the operating time can be prevented.
