PURPOSE:To stably culture the subject champignon of high quality in a short time by covering the opening part of a culture vessel with a mineral substance composed of fine particles at a point of time when hyphae are spread in the culture vessel in indoor culture of the champignon. CONSTITUTION:A culture medium is charged to a culture bottle or a culture bag and heat sterilization is carried out by the ordinary method. Seed fungi are sown thereon and indoor culture is subsequently carried out. The opening part of the culture vessel is then covered with a mineral substance composed of soil formed by rock weathering or fine particles of a mineral substance, etc., having about =2 mm particle size at a point of time when the hyphae of the sown seed fungi are spread in the culture vessel and the culture is further continued.
