METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING UNIVERSE LARGE-SIZED STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: To construct a universe large-sized structure which can be highly efficiently loaded in a space in a rocket, in a short construction term, at a low construction cost, and in a simple manner. ;CONSTITUTION: A panel laminate 15 prepared by laminating a number of panels is carried into a space in the universe by a rocket, and, in this universe space, an uppermost panel is pushed up. Then, this panel is caused to slide by a carrying robot 7 whereby the mating panels are engaged together on the same flat plane. Thereafter, push-up and slide of the panels are sequentially carried out to construct a planar structure. A guide rail 2 disposed on the panel at its outer peripheral portions, wheels fixed on the underside of the panel at its four corners and meshed with the guide rail 2, and engaging members provided on side faces of the panel are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
