POLYESTER SHEET SUPERIOR IN HEAT SEAL PROPERTIES

PURPOSE: To obtain good heat seal properties and a resistance to impact of a heat sealed part by a method wherein a specific heat-sealable amorphous copolyester layer is laminated or coextruded on at least one surface of a polyester sheet. ;CONSTITUTION: An amorphous copolyester resin, which is obtained by copolymerizing a compound expressed by a formula, where (n) is an integer 1-5, by the amount of 10-30mol% is laminated as a glycol component, on at least one surface of a polyester sheet whereby a required polyester sheet is obtained. As a concrete example of the compound, 2,2-bis(4'-β- hydroxymethoxyphenyl)propane can be used. Especially, 2,2-bis(4'-β- hydroxymethoxyphenyl)propane is more preferable because it exhibits superior heat sealing properties.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
