CONSTRUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE BASE IN NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

PURPOSE:To develop the technique for adding the novel knowledge, correcting and deleting the existing knowledge, and reorganizing the relation between information, maintaining the matching of the whole knowledge base, in the construction of a large-scale knowledge base. CONSTITUTION:The first knowledge base and the second knowledge base are stored in a memory means, and calculation is performed by reading out these knowledge bases and integrated. The knowledge base consists of a conceptual graph, practical graph, and an instance graph showing the relation between both. The conceptual graph shows that an electromagnetic pump (r) and a hydraulic pump (h) are pumps in the upper rank concept. The practical graph shows that pumps A (e) and B (f) and a tank C (g) are connected by the pipes in which fluid flows. The integration of the knowledge bases (s) is constituted of the formation of the corresponding relation (w), integration of the concept (q), integration of graphs (i), and dividing and joint functions (v, j).
