PURPOSE:To attain the combinations of key input operations and functions and also to attain the operations approximate as much as possible to those for which a user is accustomed when the user accustomed to another Japanese word input system deseires to obtain the same user interface equal as that of the system. CONSTITUTION:An input data deciding means 1 receives the key inputted from an input means 8 and acquires the state of the present Japanese input system stored in a present state storing means 2 and a funciton to be executed out of a function table stored in a function table storing means 3. A function executing means 4 and a multi-function executing means 5 carry out the functions stored in an execution function storing means 6. Then the output of the execution result and the display data are displayed by a display means 7.
