PRODUCTION OF LOW CARBON SULFUR-CONTAINING FREE CUTTING STEEL

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the method using continuous casting method having uniformly dispersed and large size manganese sulfide inclusion. CONSTITUTION:This method for low carbon sulfur-containing free cutting steel using continuous casting has the peculiarity in which mixed powder beforehand uniformly mixing iron powder having 100-500mum average grain diameter and manganese sulfide powder having 10-30mum average grain diameter under making =3vol. ratio of the iron powder and the manganese sulfide powder, is added into molten steel in a tundish and/or a mold for continuous casting.
