COPPER ALLOY METALLIC MOLD FOR CASTING AL OR AL ALLOY

摘要

PURPOSE: To quicken casting speed per unit time and to cast an Al alloy casting having high strength and ductility because of fine crystal grains. ;CONSTITUTION: A copper or copper alloy metallic mold for casting the Al or Al alloy is coated with a Ta alloy layer having 0.005-3mm thickness on the surface of the copper or copper alloy metallic mold. On the other hand, an intermediate layer composed of single layer or plural layers in Ni plating layer, Ni alloy plating layer, Cr plating layer and Fe plating layer is formed on the surface of the copper or copper alloy metallic mold and further, on this intermediate layer, the Ta alloy layer is formed and the total thickness of the intermediate layer and the Ta alloy layer plating parts is made to be in the range of 0.005-3mm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
