MECHANISM AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING ROPE IN ROPE-REEL-TYPE LENGTH MEASURING MACHINE

PURPOSE: To wind the rope around the outer surface regularly by compressing the pullout part of the rope, which is guided to the outer surface from the rope attaching part of a pulley, with the rope pushing part of a flange, and preventing the separation of the rope from the outer surface. ;CONSTITUTION: A projection 48 does not agree with a positioning hole 54. A rope pushing part 42 is set so that the pushing part is located at the side of a rope attaching part 26. Then, an engaging body is inserted into the attaching part 26. When a rope 46 is pulled, the engaging body is engaged with the attaching part 26. When a flange 30 is rotated in the clockwise direction, a rope pulling part 34 is positioned at the directly upper side of the attaching part 26. The pushing part 42 bends and compresses the rope 46 in the winding direction of the rope. At the same time, the projection 48 is coupled into the hole 54. The flange 30 is fixed to the pulley 20 so that the flange can be released. When the rope 46 is turned once along an guide surface 38, around the outer surface of the pulley 20, the terminating end of winding is guided so that the terminating end neighbors upon a pulling-end part 46a. Thus, the winding is performed by the required number of turns. In this way, the rope 46 is not separated from the pulley 20, the rope is wound regularly and the starting action of the winding is performed readily.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
