PURPOSE: To obtain an organo(poly)siloxane having a monovalent organic group with an aliphatic carbon-carbon multiple bond by reacting 3 types of specific silanes and/or partial hydrolyzates thereof in the presence of water, a catalyst and optionally an organic solvent. ;CONSTITUTION: A silane of formula I and/or a partial hydrolyzate thereof, a silane of formula II and/or a partial hydrolyzate, a silane of formula III [wherein R² is a monovalent organic group having no aliphatic carbon-carbon multiple bond; R³ is a monovalent organic group having at least 1 aliphatic carbon-carbon multiple bond; X is Cl or an -OR⁴ (wherein R⁴ is H or a monovalent organic group); c is 0, 1 or 2; d is 0 or 1] and/or a partial hydrolyzate are reacted in the presence of water, a catalyst and optionally an organic solvent. As a result, an organo(poly)siloxane comprising units of formulae IV, V and VII (wherein R is a monovalent organic group having no aliphatic carbon- carbon multiple bond; R¹ is the same as R³; a is the same as c; and b is the same d) can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
