PURPOSE: To produce a composite image having a high signal-to-noise ratio over the entire image by combining data from separate coil channels of NMR phase adjustment arrays, using a filter and in a time domain. CONSTITUTION: A receiver 15 and an A/D circuit 16 are provided at the front end of the coil channel 14' of each NMR array 10 to receive and digitize separately received signals. After digitized data are filtered using a magnetic field map filter 23, they are summed by a summing means 20', and a combined image prior to conversion is stored in memory 24. One Fourier transform is performed by a fast Fourier transform means 25 to produce a final composite image. Therefore, a time lag from the end of scan to the first appearance of an image can be avoided, and the data storage capacity required of each coil channel can be reduced.
