PYRAZOLE DERIVATIVE, ITS PRODUCTION AND GERMICIDE FOR AGRICULTURE AND HORTICULTURE CONTAINING THE SAME DERIVATIVE AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT

PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound useful as a germicide for agriculture and horticulture. ;CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I (R₁ and R₂ are methyl or ethyl), e.g. 1,3-dimethyl-4-(2-chlorophenylthio)-5-(5-chloropyridin-2-yloxy)pyrazole. The compound is obtained by reacting a hydroxypyrazole derivative of formula II with a pyridine derivative of formula III (X is halogen), as necessary in a solvent (e.g. N, N-dimethylformide) at ambient temperature to 200°C. The compound of formula III is used at an amount of 1-20 equivalent, based on 1 equivalent compound of formula II. The compound of formula I is useful to the control of a plant disease such as Pyricularia oryzae, Cochliobolus miyabeanus, Erysiphegraminis f. sp., Pyrenophoragraminea, Gibberella zeae, Puccinia striiformis, Pyrenophora teres or Venturiainaequalis. The compound exhibits disease control effects in low dose by carrying out foliage spraying, soil treatment, seed disinfection, etc., in upland, paddy field, orchard, tea garden, pasture, lawns, etc.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
