PURPOSE:To quantitatively decide a proper line operating point on a job shop production line of the variety/variate. CONSTITUTION:A job shop production control system decides the best line operating point for the job shop production which undergoes the batch processing. A data base part is added to the control system to record various data on the production on the ability of each equipment used for production, the process flow of each product type, etc., together with a simulation model calculation part which reads the necessary data out of the data base part as necessary and calculates an in-process value-line production completion characteristic curve 11 and an in-process value-throughput characteristic curve 13 by simulation based on the data read out of the data base, and an output part which displays both curves 11 and 13 with the signals received from the simulation model calculation part. Then the best line operating point 15 is quantitatively decided based on the preceding simulation and display.
