FIXING AGENT COMPOSITION FOR REACTIVE DYE AND FIXING OF DYE TO TEXTILE MATERIAL USING THE COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: To provide the subject fixing agent composition containing a specific highly water-absorbing polymeric compound and an alkaline agent, causing little bleeding of reactive dye and giving a dyed product having high color yield. ;CONSTITUTION: A textile material is dyed with a reactive dye (e.g. vinylsulfone dye) and fixed in two phases (e.g. pad steam fixing and immersion fixing). In the above process, the fixation is carried out by using a water-based composition of a fixing agent containing a highly water-absorbing polymeric compound and an alkaline agent such as a carbonate. The dyed product has suppressed bleeding tendency of reactive dye (and low staining of white part in printing and, accordingly, high color yield). The polymeric compound is preferably a saponified copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (A) a vinyl ester and (B) an ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid, etc., at a molar ratio (A:B) of (20-80):(80-20).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
