PURPOSE:To provide a hydrogen storage electrode current collector and its manufacture and to provide a hydrogen storage electrode and a nickle-hydrogen battery with a light weight. CONSTITUTION:A hydrogen storage electrode current collector with a light weight is provided by forming a nickle conductive layer 2 wherein electroless nickle plating is supplied to a base 1 of woven or nonwoven fabric of resin. Thus, the energy density per unit weight of an electrode is improved. In addition, a plating catalyst is applied to the resin fabric base before electroless nickle plating or electro-nickle-plating is applied to the electroless nickle plated layer to improve the conductivity of the plated layer which is a conductive layer and to increase battery capacity. Alkali-proof metal powders can be added to the hydrogen storage electrode to increase the conductivity of the electrode as well as battery capacity. Battery life can be elongated by using the optimum amount of fluorine contained resin as a binding agent. Furthermore, fluorine contained resin can be used with a hydrophilic binding agent to increase the hydrophilic property of the hydrogen storage electrode with electrolyte and to increase battery life.
