METHOD OF ELIMINATING JAMMING OF SINGLE-PHASE INDUCTION MOTOR ROTOR OF CENTRIFUGAL PUMP UNIT, AND CENTRIFUGAL PUMP UNIT CONSTITUTED OF THE METHOD

PURPOSE: To provide a method of eliminating jammings which dispense with eliminating by manual jamming and a single-phase induction motor centrifugal pump constituted of this method. ;CONSTITUTION: A centrifugal pump unit has a single-phase induction motor type of a split-tube motor, equipped with at least one output winding 5 and starting windings 1 and 2 accommodated in split-tube casings. Although this is provided with rectifying elements 8a and 8b for the elimination of the blockage of a rotor, these elements 8a and 8b can be coupled in parallel or in series, with at least one part of a starter or an output winding 5. Average torque generated by the motor is always in the same direction at a non-jamming stage, so a pump starts the rotation in an accurate direction at non-jamming time. The rectifying elements 8a and 8b are can be suitably coupled with each other for a specified time each time the pump unit starts and or can also be coupled with each other, only when a jamming has occurred.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
