PURPOSE:To obviate the need for LNG piping to be set on a landing pier and the landing pier from the ground's surface to a loading arm by lessening the area of site necessary for the base in the base system having LNG-receiving base, LNG ship-mooring equipment, and a loading arm off the base ground of LNG-shipping base. CONSTITUTION:A tunnel-type underground storage tank 31 extended from the underground of the gase land 30 to nearby seabed of a mooring equipment 5 is used as an LNG storage tank. A caisson 33 rising the tank 31 to the sea surface is provided on the offshore side, and a vertical pit 3 rising from the tank 31 is provided near the land side end. In the case of receiving base, a receiving pipe is provided in the caisson 33 and a discharge pipe is provided in the pit 35. In the case of the shipping base, a discharge pipe is provided in the caisson 33 and a receiving pipe is provided in the pit 35.
