PURPOSE: To obtain the elliptical light distribution reflector at a low cost by a circular reflector by forming many pieces of projecting line reflecting small band parts being roughly parallel to the prescribed direction on the reflecting surface of a recessed circular reflector. ;CONSTITUTION: In an elliptical light distribution reflector A, many pieces of projecting line reflecting small band parts 3 being roughly parallel to the prescribed direction are formed in almost the whole area of the reflecting surface 2 of a recessed circular reflector 1. The reflecting surface 3a of this projecting line reflecting small band part is formed as the projectingly curved circular arc surface 4 for curving projectingly like a circular arc a cross sectional shape in the direction being roughly orthogonal to the lengthwise direction of the projecting line reflecting small band part 3. In the center part of the elliptical light distribution reflecting plate A, a through-hole for inserting a light source O is formed. An incident light from the light source O is reflected in a wide reflection (b) between dotted lines (b), (d).
