PURPOSE: To provide the high-Si austenitic stainless cast steel having excellent castability, concd. nitric acid resistance and toughness. ;CONSTITUTION: This high-Si austenitic stainless cast steel for concd. nitric acids has the steel compsn. consisting, by weight%, ≤0.03% C, 3.5 to 6% Si, ≤3% Mn, 15 to 20% Cr, 10 to 20% Ni, ≤0.3% Nb, ≤0.05% N and the balance Fe and unavoidable impurities, has -6 to -1 Ni-bal. expressed by the following formula and has the excellent castability and toughness: Ni-bal.=%Ni+30(%C +.)+0.5% Mn -1.1(%Cr+1.5%Si+0.5%Nb)+8.2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
