PREPARATION OF MGCL2-MGO WITH NARROW PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION AND USE THEREOF AS SUPPORT TO OLEFIN POLYMERIZATION CATALYST COMPONENT

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a process for preparing MgCl₂.MgO having narrow particle size distribution and its use as the support to olefin polymerization catalyst components. ;CONSTITUTION: In the preparation of MgCl₂.MgO having narrow particle size distribution by treatment of hydrated MgCl₂ with an alcohol followed by heat treatment after partial elimination of the alcohol, the hydrated MgCl₂ is suspended in the alcohol at a molar ratio of the alcohol to the hydrated MgCl₂ being not higher than the solubility ratio of these two substances at the temperature of the suspension. The resulting MgCl₂.MgO can be employed as a support of catalytic components for the polymerization of olefins.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
