PURPOSE:To prevent abnormal yarn without any elastic yarn from being produced by discontinuing automatic operation when a yarn piecing cart for leading the yarn end to a yarn piecing part with a suction nozzle and carrying out yarn piecing at a spindle requiring the yarn piecing. CONSTITUTION:When a yarn piecing cart 39 is run along rails 37 and 38 installed in the front opening of a frame unit of each spindle 1 in an apparatus for spinning, moved to a spindle requiring yarn piecing and stopped there, automatic operation of yarn piecing is discontinued. A suction nozzle 41 is held at a standby position and elastic yarn is passed through each air spinning nozzle 13 by manual operation. The yarn piecing operation is then performed with an operation starting switch.
