PURPOSE: To obtain a coating compound for producing UV, UV/IR or IR/UV hardened coatings which is composed of each specific chelating agent, hydrolyzate, polymerization initiator, etc., at a specific ratio and is excellent in scratch resistance, abrasion resistance, adhesion properties and optical transparency and useful for video discs, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective compound is obtained by constituting (A) a component having 2 or more oxygens for serving donors which is a solution of an organometallic complex compound having polymerizable ligands to be obtained by the reaction of an organometallic compound of formula (wherein M is Ti or Zr; and R is a halogen, OH, an alkoxy, etc.), with 0.5-10 mol. (per mol. of formula I) chelating agent having 1 or more double bonds to be used singly or plurally in an inert solvent, (B) 1 or more hydrolyzates of a radically polymerizable alkoxysilane of formula II (wherein n is 2 or 3; R¹ is a 1-8C alkenyl; and R² is H or a hydrocarbon or a 1-8C allyl, (C) 0.1-5 wt.% polymerization initiator and (D) conventional additives at a molar ratio of component (B) to formula I being 10/4-10/0.1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
