PURPOSE: To obtain a core connection status identification optical connector which is compact and is in simple structure where an optical classification number can be given and a high-resolution coated fiber connection status monitor device utilizing interference effect of a reflection light and a reference reflection light at the optical connector. ;CONSTITUTION: A coated fiber connection status monitor device identifies a classification number by allowing a reflection light which impinges on through a monitor optical fiber 19a from a connection status identification optical connector 20 where a classification number is given by combination of reflection intensity of a plurality of reflection films to interfere with a reflection light which enters from a reference optical fiber 19b.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
