PURPOSE: To provide a method for judging the dynamic current cutoff capacity more accurately and avoiding the breakedage of a current-limiting element due to the variation of fusing time of a fuse, in a method for blowing out the fuse used for short-circuiting a gap in the air and then cutting off the current flowing through the current limiting element from an AC power source and tending to flow through the gap by the gap itself by using only an AC power source as the testing power source, as the title method for testing dynamic current cutoff of arrester which is for transmission line and provided in series with the current-limiting element and the gap in air. ;CONSTITUTION: A breaker 9 is connected in parallel with a current-limiting element 8, a short-circuit current I1 is supplied from a short-circuit supply 1 to a fuse 8, the fuse is blown out without variation of fusing time, and the breaker 9 is opened. Alternatively, an auxiliary supply 11 is connected in parallel with the fuse 8 through a breaker 10, a fusing current I3 is supplied from the supply 11 to the fuse, the supply 1 is connected with an arrester 7 just before the fusing, and the breaker 10 is opened.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
