PURPOSE: To avert the contamination of an org. photosensitive body (OPC) by subjecting the surface of an elastic body to the surface treatment. ;CONSTITUTION: The surface reformed roll for an image forming device is constituted by forming the elastic material layer 6 consisting of conductive urethane having an isocyanate treated front layer 7 on the front surface on the surface of a core. The surface reformed layer is formed by a method of preparing a soln. contg. an NCO group-contg. compd. and immersing the elastic material consisting of the conductive urethane rubber into this soln., then heating the elastic body.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
