MELT SPINNING PROCESS FOR POLYESTER FIBER

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain in an industrially advantageous way the title fiber with high tensile strength and high elastic modulus by melt spinning of a specific high-molecular weight polyester chips blended with a specified amount of another kind of polyester chips having a specific intrinsic viscosity. ;CONSTITUTION: (A) high-molecular weight polyester chips ≥1.0 in intrinsic viscosity having molecular structure made up of recurring units predominant in ethylene terephthalate units are blended with (B) 0.5-10.0 (pref. 2.0-5.0) wt.% of low-molecular weight polyester chips having an intrinsic viscosity lower than that of the component A by ≥0.2 (pref. by 0.3 to 0.8) followed by carrying out melt spinning, thus obtaining the objective polyester fiber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
