PURPOSE: To simplify the processing and eliminate re-setting input operation due to human error or processing for displaying set point input error when correcting the setting of a digital protective relay. ;CONSTITUTION: When changing setting, the presence or absence of setting mode is judged and, if changed, the set value at that time is verified (step S1 to S3). Then, whether the set value is within the setting range corresponding to set mode after change is judged (conformance between set value and set mode) (S4). If it is outside the range, the set value is automatically changed to the value within the setting range of the relevant set mode (S5).
