PURPOSE: To provide a mixture having the solid combustible gas generant composition of a component for quickly generating gases. ;CONSTITUTION: The mixture composed of azide (a) of an alkali metal, oxide compound (b) in a sufficient ratio for substantially completely reacting with the azide with the generation of nitrogen from that azide (in this case, the azide and oxide compound are worked into pellets respectively having geometrical shapes so as to contain a free volume for filling a space between them between the pellets when aggregating them in the state of a clad) and discrete particles (C) of small silica type material substantially smaller than the said pellets (the particle is arranged between the said pellets and substantially fills the free volume between them) is added to pellets of a gas generating material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
