PURPOSE: To raise the temperature of delivered hot water to a set temperature rapidly by determining the quantity of radiated heat in the piping from a heat exchanger to a supply hot water cock based on the temperature of the incoming water to a heat exchanger and adding a corrected quantity of heat that compensates for the quantity of radiation heat in a specified time from starting hot water delivery to the quantity of fuel consumption that is required to provide a set temperature. ;CONSTITUTION: Since, when a user opens a supply hot water cock 1, the signal of a flow rate sensor 8 generated by the flow rate is outputted to a microcomputer 23, this output is used as a flow rate detection signal. And, the quantity of radiation heat lost in a piping 24 from the outlet of a heat exchanger 4 to the supply hot water cock 1 is determined. Based on the quantity of radiation heat that is determined a corrected quantity of heat is calculated.
