PURPOSE: To raise the temperature of delivered hot water to a set temperature rapidly by determining the quantity of radiated heat in the piping from a heat exchanger to a supply hot water cock based on the temperature of the incoming water to a heat exchanger and adding a corrected quantity of heat that compensates for the quantity of radiation heat in a specified time from starting hot water delivery to the quantity of fuel consumption that is required to provide a set temperature. ;CONSTITUTION: Since, when a user opens a supply hot water cock 1, the signal of a flow rate sensor 8 generated by the flow rate is outputted to a microcomputer 23, this output is used as a flow rate detection signal. And, the quantity of radiation heat lost in a piping 24 from the outlet of a heat exchanger 4 to the supply hot water cock 1 is determined. Based on the quantity of radiation heat that is determined a corrected quantity of heat is calculated. Namely, the required quantity of consumed fuel is calculated according to the temperature of incoming water, flow rate given from the flow rate sensor 8, and set temperature set by a user, and a signal to give a gas proportional valve 9 the degree of valve opening that is suitable to provide a required quantity of consumed fuel is sent out through an action control section 22 and gas of a corresponding flow rate is supplied to a burner 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
