PURPOSE: To provide a method for SAI and caster compensation for measurement of a caster and camber in a wheel alignment. ;CONSTITUTION: Measuring apparatus 12L, 12R are fitted on right and left steerably wheel of a vehicle, and a caster is calculated according to each wheel based on measurement rendered by this measuring apparatus, and a pitch in zero toe is determined for right and left wheels, and a compensation term of an inclination SAI of a steering shaft is determined. A live caster is calculated by use of a live pitch of the wheel, a caster calculated for the wheel, a pitch in zero toe for the wheel, and a SAI compensation term, and an output denoting the live caster is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
