PURPOSE:To shorten the processing time by comparing the kind of article to be processed with the kind of processing control information in a processing station when an article to be processed reaches a designated processing station, and sending the article to be processed to the following station when both kinds agree. CONSTITUTION:A controller 5 transmits processing control information to plural processing stations 2-4 and set the same therein. A transport line 1 transports plural articles 6a-6d to be processed. Pieces of kind identification information 7a-7d of the articles 6a-6d to be processed are read in the respective processing stations 2-4. At this time, the processing station 2, for example, compares the kind of the read kind identification information 7a of the article 6a to be processed with the kind of the preset processing control information. As a restul, if the kinds agree, the article is taken in the processing station 2 and processed, and if not, the kind of the article 6a to be processed is transmitted to the controller 5. After that, controller 5 selects stations 3,4 capable of making the appropriate processing.
