APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR OPTIMIZING PERFORMANCE OF MULTIPLEX PROCESSOR SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To shorten the processing time by providing and controlling a buffer for a correction word and a buffer for a line in the global directory which stores information related with the state and control of a cache line. CONSTITUTION: A global directory 500 is provided with a state and control block 502, buffer 504 for a line relevant to a controller 506, and buffer 508 for a correction word relevant to a controller 510. Those buffers are sent to a memory before corrected data are written in a memory. That is, the corrected word of a cache line rewritten in the memory is captured and stored in the buffer 504 for the line and the buffer 508 for the correction word. Thus, a time required for maintaining matching of the data can be shortened.
