TEST PIECE GRASPING JIG FOR TENSILE TESTING MACHINE

摘要

PURPOSE: To accurately evaluate the mechanical property of a highstrength material through a tensile test by screwing a test piece in one end of a holder provided with a flange on the other end and supporting the test piece with a grasping jig having a tapered surface. ;CONSTITUTION: Paired grasping jig holders 3 are respectively fixed to the cross head and fixing section of a testing machine. By moving the cross head, a tensile load is applied to a test piece 6 through the holders 3, tapered surface of a test piece holder grasping jig 1, the shelf section of the jig 1, flange 7, internal thread of a test piece holder 2, and external thread of the test piece 6. When such load transmitting system is used, tensile tests can be conducted with high accuracy without causing the slippage of the test piece, edge breakage of a chuck, and rotation of the test piece at the time of carrying out the tests by grasping the test piece.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
