PURPOSE: To enhance the economic effect by making a mold releasing agent, waterproofing agent, caking agent, rust-preventive agent, and saccharoid leaching preventive agent through dissolving of polystyrene resin in a solvent, and thereby allowing them to work with their specified functions. ;CONSTITUTION: Polystylene resin and 1-2wt.% thereof polyethylene are dissolved in a solvent and subjected to filtration to fabricate a mold releasing agent. Also polystylene resin is dissolved in a solvent to prepare a waterproofing agent, caking agent, rust-preventive agent, and a saccharoid leaching preventive agent from wood board. The polystylene resin used may be a waste matter of polyethylene as retutilization. The waterproofing agent and/or rust-preventive agent may be a one prepared by dissolving thothoughly polystylene resin and polyethylene resin in toluene followed by filtration, to which sodium silicate with hydrophilic radicals is introduced to turn it water-soluble.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
