PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotographic image forming member having improved electrical performance and resistivity to deterioration during long-term cycle operation. ;CONSTITUTION: This image forming member includes a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer. This charge transfer layer contains the charge transfer micromolecules dissolved or moleculedispersed into a film formable charge transfer polymer contg. charge transfer components in a polymer main chain. The charge transfer components has substantially the same structure as the structure of the charge transfer micromolecules. The charge transfer micromolecules have substantially the same ionization potential as the ionization potential of the polymer. The charge transfer layer does not substantially contain an electrically inert film formable binder.
