ISOLATION OF PROTOPLAST OF PLANT OF GENUS MENTHA AND METHOD FOR REGENERATING PLANT BODY BY CULTURE THEREOF

摘要

PURPOSE: To efficiently isolate protoplast of a spice plant by breaking epidermis of leaf having high hydrophobic property to enhance hydrophilic property of leaf, removing essential oil ingredients in the leaf and acting a protoplast isolating enzyme on the treated leaf. ;CONSTITUTION: When protoplast of a spicy plant such as a plant of the genus Mentha is isolated, epidermis of leaf having high hydrophobic property is effectively broken without shearing the leaf to enhance hydrophilic property and essential oil ingredients in the treated leaf is removed from the leaf whose epidermis is broken and protoplast isolating enzyme is effectively allowed to act on the leaf to isolate the protoplast of the spice plant.
