ZINC TYPE REFERENCE ELECTRODE ZIRCONIA OXYGEN SENSOR

PURPOSE: To obtain the improved reference electrode of an oxygen sensor. ;CONSTITUTION: In a reference electrode for measuring oxygen potential, zinc and zinc oxide particles are used as the substance of the reference electrode 2 of an oxygen sensor continuously measuring the activity of oxygen in molten metal 5 by utilizing an oxygen ion conductive electrolyte. The mixing wt. ratio of zinc and zinc oxide particles constituting the reference electrode 2 is within the range of 0.05-0.5. An effective standard electrode capable of stably obtaining a measuring result in the measurement of the amount of oxygen dissolved in low m.p. metal such as Zn can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
