PURPOSE: To enhance the safety and reliability by providing balance pulleys for wire rope on the taking in and letting out sides of the wire rope, respectively, relative to a capstan by separating them by a specified amount to the side opposite to each other in the outward direction from a line which divides the capstan into two in lateral direction. ;CONSTITUTION: Balance pulleys 18 and 19 for a wire rope 2 are provided on the taking in and letting out sides of the wire rope, respectively, relative to a capstan 17 by separating them by a specified amount to the side opposite to each other in the outward direction from a line which divided the capstan 17 into two in lateral direction. By this constitution, even if the rotational direction of a capstan type winch is switched over to change over the direction between the taking in and letting out directions of the wire rope, the wire rope 2 is wound normally on the capstan 17 and also it moves normally over the capstan 17 in its feeding direction. Thus, the wire rope 2 will not be damaged. breakage of it can be prevented, and dropping accident of a ball guard net, etc., can be prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
