PURPOSE: To provide the blue heat ray absorbing glass which has a high see- through property, absorbs heat rays and UV rays, has a desired bluish tone and an excellent property to be tempered, is free from glittering, has a high dwelling property, high safety, and high environmental characteristics, can be reduced in weight, and is suitable for buildings or as windshields for automobiles. ;CONSTITUTION: This frit glass having a high iron component and high reduction rate consists of the glass compsn. components of the same system. The above- mentioned blue heat ray absorbing glass consists, by weight %, of 68 to 72 SiO2, 1.6 to 3.0 Al2O3, 8.5 to 11.0 CaO, 2.0 to 4.2 MgO, 12.0 to 16.0 Na2O, 0.5 to 3.0 K2O, 0.02 to 0.30 SO3, 0.3 to 0.9 Fe2O3, and 2 to 0% components, such as CeO2, TiO2, MnO, and ZnO, 69 to 74% SiO2+Al2O3, 12 to 15% CaO+MgO, 13 to 17% Na2O+K2O, and has 50 to 250% reduction rate of the above- mentioned glass.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
