PURPOSE:To obtain a precise value by manual calculation, allow easy repetitive calculation and simplify economic comparative design examination by calculating an interlayer deformation angle as an independent phenomenon irrespective of stress analysis by using specific equations. CONSTITUTION:An interlayer deformation angle gamma1 of a pole with a column base pin is calculated by using an equation I. In the equation, E refers to the Young's modulus of the pole and a beam in unit of kg/cm, K0 refers to standard rigidity of K0=Ic/h, Ic refers to a cross-sectional secondary moment of the pole in unit of cm4, P refers to horizontal force functioning to a ridge in unit of kg, (h) refers to height of a gabled roof frame in unit of cm, alpha refers to a ratio in ridge height of alpha= h/2f, (f) refers to ridge height in unit of cm, k refers to a rigidity ratio of the beam with respect to rigidity ratio of the pole as 1.0 where K=1bXh/IcXs, Ib refers to a cross-sectional secondary moment of the beam in unit of cm4, and (s) refers to real slope length of the beam in unit of cm. An interlayer deformation angle gamma2 when the base of column is rigid is calculated by using an equation II. Thus economic comparative design examination can be done simply.
