PURPOSE: To reduce the capacity of a disk at the time of editing and to shorten a processing time to be required for storing an edited history file with respect to a text editing processor and an editing processing method for storing a text for a source program or the like in a history file and updating the contents of the history file. ;CONSTITUTION: At the time of correcting text data, a text edition processing part 12 records history information indicating corrected contents in each record or in each line of a text.
