PRODUCTION OF STENCIL FOR 'YUZEN' PRINTING

PURPOSE:To produce a stencil for YUZEN (a colorful printed silk) by an optical processing in place of a conventional stencil-production process comprising the cutting of a stencil base paper. CONSTITUTION:A full-size image-forming transparent negative film 1 having a transparent part 2 and an opaque part 3 is prepared for the desired figure pattern for YUZEN printing. A photosetting-type photosensitive resin layer 6 is placed on the transparent negative film 1 and an actinic light 5 is radiated to the film from the backside to form a cured part 6A and uncured part 6B-a, 6B-b in the photosensitive resin layer 6 corresponding to the pattern of the image-forming transparent negative film 1. A gauze 8 coated with a photosensitive resin is placed on the uncured part 6B-b of the photosensitive resin layer 6 and irradiated again with actinic light to integrate the gauze 8 coated with the photosensitive resin. The objective stencil for YUZEN printing is produced by washing off the uncured part from the integrated laminate.
