PRIMARY CRYSTAL SI FINING AGENT OF HYPEREUTECTIC AL-SI ALLOY

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain an additive for fining the primary crystal Si of the hypereutectic Al-Si alloy at a high yield of use without incorporating impurities therein by using an Al-P alloy as an essential component. CONSTITUTION:The possibility of the incorporation of the impurities into the hypereutectic Al-Si alloy contg. the Al-P alloy as the essential component is eliminated and the impairment of the properties of the Al-Si alloy is obviated by the primary crystal Si fining agent of this alloy. The Al-P alloy contg. 10 to 50wt.% P is preferable as the above-mentioned Al-P alloy and this alloy is preferably used by incorporating the alloy into an Al container. The above- mentioned fining agent contains about =50%, more preferably about =70% effective component of the Al-P alloy. Others, such as diluting agents, stabilizers, etc., such as Al and paraffin, may be incorporated at need therein.
