COMPOSITE STEEL PLATE FOR EOE EXCELLENT IN CORROSION RESISTANCE AND FEATHERING PROPERTIES AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To provide a material for EOE enabling the omission of the repairing painting to the inner surface of steel EOE and excellent in corrosion resistance and feathering properties. CONSTITUTION:An upper layer film with a thickness of 5-25mum composed of a polyester resin having surface orientation properties such that a refractive index in all of surface directions is 1.6300 or less, a refractive index in a thickness direction is 1.4850-1.5500 and a double refractive index is 0.03-0.13 is applied to a steel plate in a thickness of 8-30mum as a total thickness through an adhesive layer. Further, the upper layer film has an m.p. of 220 deg.C or higher, intrinsic viscosity of 0.55-0.75 and elongation at break of 50-250% and has a double- layered structure of the polyester resin film and the adhesive layer with an m.p. of 170-235 deg.C and a thickness of 0.5-5mum. As the steel plate, an Sn plated steel plate, an Sn/Ni plated steel plate or TFS is adapted and a thermal press- bonding method is employed in the coating of the steel plate.
