PURPOSE:To realize the title monochrometer small in size capable of selecting an X-ray of high monochromaticity of arbitrary wave length without movement of an X-ray beam position. CONSTITUTION:Two flat plat crystals 2, 3 are arranged on a rotatable table 7 so that diffraction faces thereof may be paralell each other, the diffraction face of the flat plate crystal 3 is made a rotary shaft center and that of the other flat plate crystal 2 is decentered to hold on a set base 12 of a straight line moving base 10 respectively. A diffraction angle theta is determined by the rotation of the table 7, the parallel interval distance between the two flat plate crystals is set at a specified value on the straight line moving base 10, an X-ray beam 1 incident on the flat plate crystal 2 is in parallel with a diffraction X-ray beam 4 by the control of the two parameters and the X-ray beam made monochromatic without any change of the parallel interval distance is taken out. A set base 8 of the flat plate crystal 3 is rotated with a motor 9 for minute rotation and light control of high order is made possible by rotating the diffraction face of the flat plate crystal 3 from a parallel state at a minute angle.
