PURPOSE: To improve the stickness of a thermal-sprayed layer and to improve this durability by specifying the thermal-spraying angle of a repairing material in the repairing method, by which a lance is rotated and shifted while thermal- spraying the repairing material on a molten metal tapping hole wall in a metal refining vessel with the flame thermal-spray repairing lance. ;CONSTITUTION: An inclining angle between the axis tip direction of the lance for flame thermal-spray repairing and the nozzle blowing direction is made to 50-80°. Then the thermal-spraying angle of the repairing material to the molten metal tapping hole wall is kept in the range of 50-80° and the lance is retreated while thermal-spraying the repairing material from the inside to the outside of the molten metal tapping hole wall. By this method, scattering and piling of non-melted particles on the surface of the base body are reduced or prevented, and the stickness of the base body to the thermal-sprayed layer is improved and the durability of the thermal-spray repairing can drastically be improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
