PURPOSE: To obtain the title isomerate having a high octane number by, after deisopentanizing a light naphtha and an effluent after carrying out a desorption operation and isomerizing the deisopentanization residue, adsorbing an n-paraffin by passing onto an adsorbent and desorbing by means of an isopentane-rich gas flow. ;CONSTITUTION: After a charge stock F comprising a 5C/6C fraction and an effluent from a desorber D are fed to a deisopentanization column DI to be separated into a residue and a distillate and part of the distillate is condensed in a heat exchanger E. and is recycled as liquid reflux to a head of the column DI to be deisopentanized, the deisopentanization residue is fed to an isomerization reactor I to be isomerized, the isomerization effluent is fed to a separator S1 to be separated into a vapor phase to be recycled to an inlet of the reactor I and a liquid phase comprising a crude isomerate and a vapor flow of a mixture of an isomerization liquid eflluent vaporized from the liquid phase and a vaporized, deisopentanization distillate is fed to an adsorber A with a molcular sieve capable of retaining an n-paraffin to carry out an adsorption operation, and the pressure is lowered in the adsorber A and a gaseous flow from the deisopeirtanization distillate is passed through the molecular sieve to carry out a desorption operation, alternating with the adsorption operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
