MANUFACTURE OF TESTING PAD FOR ANALYZING TOTAL PROTEIN, TESTING TOOL, MEASURING METHOD USING THE TOOL, AND MANUFACTURE OF THE TOOL

PURPOSE: To quickly and accurately analyze urine for proteins by utilizing a testing pad composed of a carrier matrix incorporating an indicator composition which can generate a detectable or determinable response in the carrier matrix through the interaction with proteins. ;CONSTITUTION: A carrier matrix is directly formed on a hydrophobic handle or another material and fixed on the handle. The composition of the carrier matrix containing urethane contains a polymerizable urethane complex, polymerized urethane complex, or a mixture of these two compounds. When the polymerizable urethane compound is used for the manufacture of the carrier matrix, the carrier matrix is formed of a polymerized urethane-based compound film, etc., by polymerizing and curing the polymerizable urethane compound. Then a testing pad is formed by incorporating a reagent composition in the carrier matrix by dipping the matrix in the solution of the composition. For protein analysis which is performed by detecting and measuring the quantity of proteins contained in a sample, a color space display is used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
