PURPOSE: To provide a power plant supporting device with which active control of vibration is enabled and, by using it for car engine mount, a superior vibration-isolating effect can be obtained against vibration in the vertical direction and also idling vibration around a torque roll axis. ;CONSTITUTION: A pair of electrostriction elements 48, 48 which give a drive force to a point between a No. 1 metal fitting 10 and a No. 2 metal fitting 12 are arranged between these metal fittings connected to each other with a rubber elastic body in parallel with each other. Using a vibration-isolating mount 56 with which independent power supply to the electrostriction elements 48, 48 is enabled, a pair of electrostriction elements 48, 48 on the vibration- isolating mount 56 are installed between a power plant and a supporting member so that they are positioned on both sides of a vertical plane including torque roll axis of the power plant.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
