METHOD AND DEVICE EXTRACTING SEMANTICS OF NATURAL LANGUAGE SENTENCE

PURPOSE:To easily decide whether the semantics extraction is executed correctly or not by displaying on a screen that which is obtained by translating literally a logical expression to a natural language sentence again, together with an extracted logical expression, in the semantics extraction for extracting the semantics of a natural language sentence in a form of a logical expression. CONSTITUTION:A natural language sentence inputted from a character-string input means 1 is translated into a logical expression by a natural languate- logical expression translation routine 42, and stores in a logical expression store area 52. A logical expression-natural language literal translation routine 43 utilizes natural language expression data 6 of the predicate, translates literally the contents of the area 52 to natural language again, and stores it in a literal translation natural language sentence store area 53. The contents of the area 52 and the area 53 are displayed in a logical expression display area 22 and a literal translation natural language sentence display area 23, respectively, and provided to a user's decision material.
